Excellant class given by a knowledgable instructor.
It was neat to be able to plasma cut metal apart and then weld it back together again. We learned about stick, MIG, and TIG as well as plasma cutting.

I would love to come to something like this!!! I sculpt and was an entomologist in grad school and also draw moths (in addition to other creatures). Raised some Polyphemus Moth caterpillars last fall, actually. But, I have to volunteer at the MS bike ride tomorrow and am not sure when I will be done. Dangit. Hope you have more events like this!! Feel free to come to one of our meetings at Republic Coffee (1st & 3rd Friday @7pm) or visit us during our Open House meetings (every other friday) at our space. We have several members with 3d printers that would be happy to give you some pointers and probably even help get you set up! Feel free to join us in IRC and we can point you in the right direction.

We have bought a Makerbot for here at work. The problem is, no one knows how to use it! Do you know of any “classes” that can be taken to learn how to get it going? We have it set up, but no software or anything. It has been put to me to get it going and I have gotten lost just trying to get started! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
